Omer Uqba, an Al Wehdah youth was recently appointed as an Energy Ambassador last month by the EMA. This role aims to raise awareness among youths on energy - related issues and spark their interest in contributing to the energy sector.

He will be serving this role together with 9 other students for a period of 2 years. Launched in 2018, the Energy Ambassadors program (EAP) aims to encourage advocacy among youth for the energy sector.

Omer is currently pursuing a diploma in Mechanical Engineering at Singapore Polytechnic in his third year. He received the Al Wehdah Bursary in the year 2020 and 2021 to support his academic pursuits.
